A weight loss program can be very discouraging to somebody when they feel like they're always famished. It can also be a big discouragement to that person when they feel so limited on so many food options.

A weight loss program shouldn't mean that all you can eat are salads. There's so much more variety of foods that you can eat and still slim down. For example, you can eat foods such as meats, bread, butter, desserts such as chocolate chip cookies made with the right grains, fats, and the right sweeteners.

The key is to eat real food and avoid processed garbage that's laden down with chemicals that your body just can't break down. You should also avoid consuming artificial sweeteners since they are also man made and the body cannot break them down either.

Processed foods are foods that have a long list of ingredients on their labels with words that are difficult to pronounce. Words such as, disodium insosinatedisodium guanylatemonosodium glutamate, which is just a fancy name for MSG, maltodextrinyeast extract which also contains MSG, sucraloseand aspartame and that's just to name a few. Foods with artificial flavors are also dangerous. If it's artificial it's just not real, period.

Dangers of Consuming Processed Foods

Processed foods not only wreak havoc on your waistline but on your overall health. When your consuming these chemically laden foods, the chemicals in them make your body toxic leading to inflammation. As Iv'e mentioned earlier on, you're weight loss program consists of being able to enjoy bread and yes even pancakes and lose weight just as long as your choosing healthy grains such as, spelt, kamut, sorghum, teff, buckwheat, quinoa and oats. You can also eat Ezekiel Bread which is made from sprouted grains. This can be purchased in the organic section at the supermarket. As a matter of fact, when choosing to consume the above healthy grains the sprouted ones are best given the fact that sprouted grains are already partially broken down and the body benefits from them even more. I purchase sprouted spelt kernels from my local bulk store and simply ground them up in a grinder and make my own sprouted spelt flour.

Bottom Line

I personally chose this healthy weight loss program when I learned that being in shape didn't require me having to starve myself but rather eat and feel satisfied not just with my weight but with my overall health.

It was also nice to learn that all those so called light foods out there on the market are nothing more than a farce. Low fat foods such as low fat dairy only make you heavier, and low calorie sweeteners such as aspartame and sucralose only make you fat and fill the body with inflammation.

Enjoying full fat dairy and not worrying about the fat on a piece of meat making you even heavier or causing cardiovascular disease makes eating so much less stressful. Yes, that's right, saturated fats DO NOT cause clogged arteries and have since been proven. Saturated fats are not to blame for causing inflammation and clogging the arteries, but partially hydrogenated oils such as margarine and shortening most definitely are to blame.
